Venu Ambati appointed as President, Greater India for EssilorLuxottica

Venu Ambati has been appointed President, EssilorLuxottica, Greater India, following the retirement of Narasimhan (Nara) Narayanan who successfully led the organization over the past 12 years.

Venu brings over 30 years’ experience within healthcare and consumer goods industries, having successfully led teams in more than 30 countries across the Indian Sub-Continent, Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Pacific. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Abbott Pharmaceuticals India. Prior to that, Venu held senior roles at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, including Regional Vice President & General Manager for Asia Pacific. Venu holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Engineering from NIT Bhopal.
