Decoding the Eyezen Lenses

In today’s Digital DNA age, where screens dominate every aspect of our lives, standard single vision lenses only provide vision correction. Eyezen lenses, on the other hand, not only correct vision but also offer additional benefits of relaxation and protection.
In our screen-filled lives, eye strain is at an all-time high. Traditional single-vision lenses correct distance vision but aren’t optimized for digital usage to combat eyestrain. On the other hand, Eyezen lenses offer relaxation as well as protection tailored for today’s tech-driven routines.
The solution for the digital age is Eyezen lens. Featuring unique DualOptim technology, that considers 2 reference points (for far and near vision). The whole lens surface is optimised according to object distance and gaze direction, bringing correction throughout the lens and reducing distortions and aberrations.
Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhootra, a respected leader in India’s optical retail industry, brings years of expertise in guiding customers to better vision solutions. At Himalaya Opticals, his customer-first approach and product expertise drive his support for innovations like Essilor Eyezen lenses. In this exclusive conversation, he explains why Eyezen is the go-to choice for today’s digital lifestyle.

Q1. Why Essilor Eyezen lenses instead of standard single vision lenses?
A1. Eyezen are modern functional single vision lenses. The normal single vision lenses provide correction, whereas Eyezen not only provides correction, but it ensures that our eyes remain relaxed while working on digital devices and also protected from the adverse impact of long-term working on digital devices. Now this benefit is unique about Eyezen lenses, which is not available with any other single vision lenses.

Q2. How do you know who to recommend Eyezen Start to and who to recommend Eyezen Boost to the end consumer?
A2. There are two options available in Eyezen lenses – Eyezen Start and Eyezen Boost. And there is a very fine line difference between the two. Selecting the right lens for a customer will ensure that the customer gets the maximum benefits out of it. The easiest way to deal with the situation is to do the customer profiling, using some references like age of the customer, nature of the work or its profession. Time spent on the digital devices and you may also include habits of using digital devices. Eyezen Start works better for the younger individuals, typically who are between the age of 12 to 39 years. They may not be facing any eye strain-related symptoms, but DualOptim technology will be of immense benefit for them to protect the eyes from the adverse impact of longterm usage of digital devices.
Whereas Eyezen Boost, on the other hand, works better for the adults from the age of 18 years onwards, especially for those who are experiencing significant eye strain while working on digital devices. Eyezen Boost provides them extra support while working and keeps the eyes relaxed to relieve the symptoms. So it is a kind of reactive treatment. Most people who work in the IT industry, who spend time on gaming, spend time on movie editing, content writing, graphic designing, or who might be complaining of eye strains are potentially the right customers for the Eyezen Boost.
Q3. What has been the feedback from your consumers on Essilor Eyezen lenses?
A3. Feedbacks are really very encouraging. Users have reported easy reading for a sustained period of time. And those who use these lenses, they invariably ask for the same lenses for their second pair.
