Vinod Daniel Honoured with IIT Delhi’s Global Alumni Recognition Award

Vinod Daniel, renowned for his work in museum management and public eye health, has been honoured with the IIT Delhi Alumni Association’s Global Alumni Recognition Award (GARA).

A 1984 BTech graduate, Mr Daniel received the award from IIT Delhi Director Professor Rangan Banerjee for his leadership in cultural heritage conservation and expanding eye care access across India through India Vision Institute (IVI).

Mr Daniel said, “This recognition from my alma mater is deeply meaningful and inspiring.”

“It strengthens my commitment to using culture and public health to drive positive change.” He also credited his global teams and partners for their contributions.

Under his leadership, IVI  has provided vision screenings and spectacles to over 1.8 million people. Mr Daniel has also advised museums worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
