India Vision Institute (IVI) launched a vision screening initiative for children in juvenile homes across Tamil Nadu. The campaign was inaugurated by Mr Santosh Kumar, Inspector General & Joint Director, Tamil Nadu Police. Present at the launch were IVI’s CEO Vinod Daniel and Sathappan ,General Manager, CSR, Aspire Systems.

Supported by the CSR program of Aspire Systems, the IVI initiative will benefit over 2,000 children across 30 juvenile homes in Tamil Nadu, offering free eye screenings, corrective spectacles, and referrals for further treatment when required.

IVI’s CEO Vinod Daniel said, "Good vision is fundamental to a child’s education and future success. Studies worldwide have shown a direct link between uncorrected vision problems and academic performance, and also a correlation with juvenile crime. Ensuring children have access to timely vision screenings and corrective measures can make a transformative difference in their lives, keeping them in school and on a path to a brighter future."

“We are grateful to Aspire Systems for supporting this initiative. Clear vision will empower these children with better learning opportunities and a brighter future and life," added Mr Daniel.

Mr Sathappan said, "We believe in giving back to the community in meaningful ways. Partnering with IVI for this initiative aligns with our commitment to social responsibility. We are happy to contribute to enhancing the lives of these children by providing access to essential eye care services."

India Vision Institute works to eliminate preventable vision impairment and promote better eye health across India. Through innovative programs and strategic partnerships, IVI has provided vision screenings and corrective glasses to those in need. To date, over 1.6 million individuals across 24 states have benefited from IVI’s initiatives, bringing the gift of clear sight to communities nationwide.
