Etnia Barcelona, an independent eyewear brand from Barcelona known for its distinct Mediter- ranean character, launches the limited edition capsule Ameri- ca’s Cup x Etnia Barcelona. This new sun collection reflects the Mediterranean spirit of the city, also present in Etnia Barcelo- na’s DNA, in celebration of the world’s most important sailing competition, which is being held for the first time in the City of Barcelona this year.

The collection, consisting of 8 unique models each available in two colors, is inspired by the nautical universe: the geometric shapes of sailboats, the navy blue and white colors, and the America’s Cup logo on the temple tip are just some of the nods to the competition. The 8 models, which combine lightweight metal frames with natural acetate frames, evoke the essence of the Mediterranean Sea and Barcelona, the source of inspiration for the capsule and the host of the 37th edition of the America’s Cup.

Latest Innovation in HD Polarized Mineral Lenses

America’s Cup x Etnia Barcelona also offers the latest technol- ogy for an unparalleled visual experience. All models have been designed with mineral lenses and HD technology, an innovative filter that provides maximum clarity, sharpness, and visual com- fort. The lens incorporates a polarized filter, which blocks glare and reflections from the sea, as well as an IR filter to block the sun’s infrared rays. Additionally, the lens color is blue, which is optimal for sports activities.

These lenses also feature advanced treatments that enhance their resistance and durability: they are anti-reflective, repel wa- ter from the surface, are easy to clean from dirt and fingerprints, and are scratch-resistant.
