All the Sanremo 2025 eyewear looks are soberly eccentric
_(38).jpg)
The air of scandal that had anticipated the Sanremo Festival 2025 remained outside the door of the Ariston theater, evidently. Most of the looks on stage, starting with the winner Olly, were dominated by sobriety, with small deviations on the theme, between basic and classic style, and a few original exceptions.
And have the expectations of us eyewear addicts been met? Let's see together!

100 Shades of Sobriety
The entrance of the hosts in dark wayfarers, Blues Brothers effect , gave us hope for an edition full of eyewear goodies, but in reality the sober style dominated the event . Even when we talk about sobriety, however, we find ourselves faced with a wide range of declinations
|
.
Carlo Conti did not let his style be upset by the grand gala area, showing off his usual browline glasses, whose touch of character was entrusted only to the black upper line.
Rocco Hunt has abandoned the massive frames with which he became known, to embrace a style that is essential in every way with a rimless style that leaves room for the expressiveness of the eyes, framed by thick and well-defined eyebrows.
Willie Peyote , on the other hand, offered us a sobriety with a retro taste, with clubmaster glasses.
And Simone Cristicchi has donned black wayfarer hair, which nicely balances the volumes of his face and his characteristic mass of salt-and-pepper curls.
|
But it was Mahmood above all who showed us that sobriety also has character, wearing a simple, square titanium frame of essential elegance.
The exception that proves the rule
And it was Mahmood himself who showed off the most daring outfit at Sanremo 2025, demonstrating that essential and imaginative frames can and must coexist in an eyewear wardrobe , since glasses are the accessory that best expresses a person's identity and every identity is multifaceted.
So in his legendary performance he appeared perfectly at ease (un)dressed in red by Balenciaga, with Swarovski Sublima glasses decorated with the characteristic pavé of 1760 hand-set crystals.

The night of duets featured Johnson Righeira ’s return to the future , who went on stage with Coma_Cose wearing a micro mask with a spacey vibe … only to later confess that it was a frame costing a few euros and the lenses had fallen out just before going on stage. Life lesson: never rely on fake glasses for a perfect look!
|
But it is among the outsiders who bring 90s street style on stage that we find the true eyewear addicts of Sanremo 2025: Shablo showed off some transparent acetate wayfarers, Guè Pequeno some micro pantos, Joshua a square frame and Tormento went back a few more decades by fishing out some 80s drop-shaped glasses.
|
Among the other glasses spotted on stage, we can also mention those of Checco dei Modà , who chooses to personalize his style with a pantos frame with a light metal frame, super trendy especially for the brown lenses in Mocha Mousse , the pantone of the year.
Lots of glasses off stage this year, less on stage. Have singers also fallen into the cliché of using glasses just to cover up tiredness? It's a shame they didn't exploit the potential of those that are much more than accessories!
Eyes on me
Two of the competing artists, despite not wearing glasses, thought it was a good idea to draw attention to their eyes. Fedez 's black contact lenses did not go unnoticed , which for him are just a style gimmick, but in which others also saw a way to shield his gaze from emotion. Francesca Mesiano of Coma_Cose fascinated us with her theatrical vintage 1930s looks and her breathtaking eye make-up.

A look at the outfits
Among the looks of Sanremo 2025, the noteworthy trend among men was the transformation of the bad boys of Italian music Achille Lauro, Tony Effe, Rkomi and Irama into gentlemen , with tailored suits, which are more striking than muscles and tattoos.
Most women chose tradition, with elegant or sparkling diva -like tailored dresses . Wonderful Elodie, a diva from another time, and Clara who seems to have just stepped off the catwalk, but the rhythm of the evenings was given by Rose Villain with her peculiar style of an explosive manga heroine, Serena Brancale who colored her jazz voice with pop outfits and Francesca Michielin who, perhaps also paying for the limitation given by her injured leg, presented broken looks with glamorous tops and tailored trousers.
An honorable mention goes to two artists who are polar opposites in terms of look but not in terms of sensibility. On one hand Joan Thiele who wore with lightness a sacred monster of fashion like Chanel, giving it a rock twist that even Her Majesty Coco would have appreciated, I dare say. On the other Lucio Corsi , who composes his outfits by finding vintage gems in local markets and manages to shine with originality even next to Topo Gigio.
And which looks from Sanremo 2025 will you not forget?
